Shonen Jump’s Ayashimon launches Urara and Kaido’s quest for revenge

In Chapter 2 of the new Shonen Jump series, Ayashimon, Urara finally reveals her motives as Maruo takes on her greatest opponent to date.

In the opener of Heaven from hell creator Yuji Kaku Shonen jump start, Ayashimon, Maruo Kaido finds himself drawn into the underworld of the yokai yakuza after failing to find a job. Moping over his bad luck, he finds a girl fleeing from a group of men in costume. Inspired by his favorite manga, he knocks out several members of the group and helps him escape. In return for her help, Urara offers Maruo a place in her gang. He initially refuses, saying his dream is to be a manga protagonist, but after learning that Urara and the gang after her are in fact monsters, he accepts, fueled by the thrill of fighting something that can. match his own unfathomable strength.


Chapter 2 resumes after the second fight, and Maruo accepts the post, with Urara explaining how the ancient Oyabun, a man named Kioh, ruled the underworld of Shinjuku. However, since his death everything has changed with different gangs vying for control. She also explains that currently her gang consists only of Maruo and herself. But Urara isn’t worried about their lack of numbers, as having only two will make things less complicated, especially given Maruo’s super strength.

Their first objective is to defeat the Shinjuku border guard, Hashihime. At first, Maruo underestimates “Chopstick Princess” as he calls her, but soon realizes that there is a real fight to be had once he sees her. However, she hits him hard, sending him flying into the nearby river. ]Hashihime then resumes his human form, a beautiful woman, and mocks Maruo, saying a fly would cause him more trouble. She then kneels in front of Urara, asking her to turn around and not go to Shinjuku.

It is then that Urara is revealed to be Kioh’s illegitimate child. Hashihime took her out of Shinjuku to protect her from other Ayashimon who would want to kill her, but now she has returned. Urara doesn’t believe her father died naturally – he was killed. She hopes to find the murderers, get revenge and take back the family crest, the only thing her father left her. She also wants to dismantle the empire her father built from within.

Maruo then resurfaces, excited that this is the type of fighting Shinjuku has to offer. Hashihime then prepares for another round, determined to prevent Urara from returning to Shinjuku. Maruo charges at her, but she knocks him back with several punches, explaining that his armor is stronger than steel. Despite this, Maruo breaks her arm, shocking her. She is amazed at his strength and speed, and the fight continues under Urara’s gaze.

She thinks she knew Maruo was different from other humans and even Ayashimon. It’s because he’s so different that others are caught off guard, and if he ever gets too much to deal with, she’ll get rid of him. For her, he is only a pawn in her plot of revenge. Once the fight is over, she approaches fallen Hashihime, who knows that Maruo is nothing more than a pawn for Urara. She says she is proud of Urara’s strength. She then lists the groups to watch from Shinjuku to Maruo: the New Enma Syndicate led by the Second Chairman, the biker gang collective known as the Todoroki Alliance, the Ayakashi ☆ B-Stars who control nightclubs and cabarets, and finally the Kori Hotel Group which is an external faction.
