The National Hotel Management Council 2021 Joint Entrance Exam or NCHM JEE 2021 will take place on August 10, 2021. The exam will be hosted by the National Testing Agency, NTA. Since exams take place during the prevailing pandemic, applicants should follow guidelines to prevent the outbreak of the virus.

Important detailed instructions that must be followed by applicants, including documents that must be carried, are given below. NCHM JEE 2021 is a computerized exam, in online mode. The examination is organized for the admission of candidates to the B.Sc, to the hotel and hotel management course in the respective institutes. The NCHM JEE score obtained by applicants will be accepted by institutes affiliated with the National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology, NCHMCT.

NCHM JEE 2021: Important Guidelines to Follow Regarding COVID-19

  1. Before the start of the examination, the rest areas, including examination rooms, desks and chairs, will be disinfected. Candidates will be required to disinfect their hands with soaps or hand sanitizers before entering the examination room.
  2. In order to maintain social distancing, candidates must maintain a six-foot gap throughout the exam.
  3. In view of the COVID-19 pandemic, it is suggested that applicants do not come with more than one parent or guardian. There will be no arrangement for the parent or guardian, so they will have to wait outside the examination centers.
  4. Thermal scanning will be performed at both entry and exit levels for candidates.
  5. Candidates should remember to bring their pledges into the exam room.
  6. In order to avoid any contact, a hand-held metal detector will be used.
  7. If a candidate’s body temperature is higher, he or she is supposed to take the exam in a separate room.
  8. Candidates will be provided with masks before entering the examination room. Candidates must wear masks throughout the exam.
  9. Applicants are required to adhere to all COVID-19 guidelines. In the event of non-compliance, candidates will be excluded from the exam.
  10. Upon completion of the exam, applicants will be allowed to exit in an orderly fashion with social distancing.

NCHM JEE 2021: Important documents to take away

  1. Candidates must bring their admission card to the examination room.
  2. Applicants must have original and valid proof of identity with them.
  3. Candidates must be provided with an additional photograph which will then be necessary for affixing to the attendance register.
  4. Please note that once the exam is completed, candidates must drop off their admission cards and the draft they used during the exam in the drop box.

Candidates should note that no electronic gadgets are allowed in the examination room. In addition, cell phones, headphones, calculators, electronic watches must not be carried by candidates. Handbags, purses or any type of paper or printed material should also not be carried by candidates. For rough assignments, candidates will be given sheets in the exam room itself.
